Jewelry Authentication
Unique Identification Number (UIN)
Since March 2021, all officially released jewelry in Russia has been registered and tracked through this unified system. After production, each piece is verified and marked with a UIN in the GIIS DMDK database (https://dmdk.ru/). This number ensures your jewelry is made from the exact materials stated on the tag.

Unfortunately, many buyers are still unaware of what these markings mean.
But by entering the UIN on the official GIIS DMDK website, you can easily verify your jewelry’s authenticity, check the materials, and even confirm whether the manufacturer is officially registered and certified to produce jewelry.
- Visit the website https://dmdk.ru and on the homepage, in the "Our Services" section, select the "Verify Jewelry" tab.
- Enter the jewelry’s UIN found on the tag. For example, you can use 6 432 400 192 447 681. Complete the CAPTCHA and click the “Show Result” button.
- Detailed information about the jewelry will be displayed:

QR code for gold jewelry
2024 Update: All gold jewelry now includes a QR code, matching the one on the product tag. This QR code can be scanned using standard jewelry scanners at any time, making it easy to retrieve all information about the item—even if the paper tag is lost.

Silver Jewelry
Since June 23, 2020, hallmarking silver in Russia is voluntary, as per Federal Law No. 188-FZ.
To avoid production delays, we do not hallmark silver items, but every piece includes a product tag with full markings and a UIN, which is sufficient for authentication.
Gemstones
How can I know which gemstones are in my jewelry?
All gemstones used in a piece are listed on the product tag. If the piece contains precious stones, they are also registered in the GIIS DMDK system, in compliance with current regulations. You can verify gemstone information by checking the item’s UIN on https://dmdk.ru.

The tag includes:
- Stone type(s)
- Carat weight
- Cut
- Quantity
- And, for precious stones, additional characteristics (e.g. color, clarity — not always provided for all stones)
Are the gemstones natural or lab-created?
If the tag does not explicitly state that the stone is synthetic (e.g., cubic zirconia, lab-created, synthetic), then the stone is guaranteed to be natural. You can verify this via the product tag, your contract, and the specification document we provide.

Example:
synthetic stones If a jewelry piece features lab-created stones, this will be clearly marked on both the website and the product tag. All gemstone information is also included in the contract specification, which you can review before placing your order.
